Updates are awesome, dontcha think? (Some book reviews too)

Hey y'all, I know I haven't posted in like well... ever really, since the first post. But here I am posting again for a little bit of an update.
So... lets go back since that first post.
We found out my uncle has cancer. I don't remember what its called. But as of a month or so ago, he is cancer free. He's still going through some chemo/radiation to make sure it's not coming back. It really sucks, because every time he had chemo my grama would go there to take care of my three cousins (Brittany, 14, Cassidy, 11 and Ethan is 8) So she would leave usually Wednesday, and come back on Sunday. But as I said he is doing much better now.
So continue to pray for him.
At the end of November our house had a flood. My parents toilet overflowed overnight, and no one noticed. It leaked through my parents bathroom/bedroom floor into the kitchen downstairs. Ick. Our house was unlivable for about five and a half weeks. Luckily our insurance company is awesome and we got a pretty big, two bedroom/kitchenette/living room hotel room. This included free breakfast everyday and free dinner Monday-Thursday.We even had Christmas in the hotel. It was pretty small with me, my brother, my parents, my great aunt, and my second cousin there. Judy and Jordan (Aunt and Cousin) slept in one room, I slept on the couch, my brother had to sleep on a chair, and my parents in the other room. We were really getting on each others nerves. We spent new years there, and got to go back to our house on January the 4th I think. Well, they got it all fixed up, and we got to get new carpet, paint the living room/kitchen/my room/the downstairs bathroom/my parents room. (my room is purple and turquoise and black. My parents is two different greens and brown. The kitchen is a dark red and white. The living room is a light brown, a dark brown and a medium brown. The downstairs bathroom is a light pink and a purple [my mom painted that to match a few pictures I took that is now hanging in the bathroom]) We even got new toilets, thank the Lord. Lol.
So then in January, it was pretty uneventful. My brother turned 14. That's about all that happened in January that I can remember.
February. Valentines day. I didn't do anything. I went to Zach's house. But that's it really. Nothing interesting.
March. Oh boy. The big one. First my great grandparents were in town, they live all the way in Michigan and only got to stay for a little while, but it was nice having them here, it had been two years since i had seen them. I turned 18 this month, on March the 8th to be exact. It started out pretty lame, but got better as the day progressed. I had lemon meringue pie, I got flowers from my mom, I bought my first lottery tickets (Spent $7 got $1 back) AND one of my favorite authors, Carrie Jones, author of Need, said happy birthday to me. AWESOME!! Well, then the night got bad. My boyfriend stayed home sick that day, and barely talked to me at all. He didn't call or anything. I thought he stayed home for me. Turns out he didn't. So we got in a huge fight. But I'm over that now. *wink* Saturday we went to the mall. Zach bought me a build-a-bear for my birthday, her name is Cupcake (Pictures later) I got a phone case, and bought my mom one too. I also got Zach a spinner ring (Which he already broke...) I also got some candy, three pairs of knee socks, and a peace sign bracelet from one of my best friends, Amanda. Then that night, my other best friend, Monica stayed the night. We stayed up til about 3, taking pictures and just having fun. Then on Sunday we took loads of pictures (Which I will put in my next blog)
Now to the present. It's spring break. Well sort of. It's the Saturday AFTER spring break. I spent Tuesday with Zach, (Because our anniversary was on the 18th but he is in South Padre, spending time with his grandparents) we had just hung out all day, then we went to book club. We got Jane, the head chick at book club, a cookie cake, because she was going back to England for a few weeks and we were going to miss her. She gave me a birthday present, a necklace that says <3 to read, that she had custom made for me. I love it, I never take it off. Wednesday my mom spent the day at home, because she had to go to the doctor (She hit her head really hard at the mall, and she was feeling dizzy and sick so she went in) then we spent the day with my great grandparents. Thursday, Zach came to say bye to me, because he was leaving to go to South Padre, and he had to give me a key to his house so I could take care of his pets and check his mail (I lost his key and freaked out, turns out Joe accidentally took it xD)  My great grandparents left to go to Dallas to see my cousins, then they were going home. I had two photo shoots on Thursday, one with my other other best friend, Joe, and the other with my friend, Jackie. I watched a movie called Chloe, starring Amanda Seyfried, I would not really recommend that movie unless you like lesbian scenes (Half the guys I know) it was a very slow movie, and the end pretty much sucked. I couldn't sleep that night, so I read three books (The Named, Dream Factory, and Peaches.) I ended up falling asleep at 5:30 am and waking up at 9:30 am. Friday was uneventful, I had another photo shoot with my friends, Heather and Audrey. Then we went to dinner at Souper Salad. I didn't end up falling asleep until 3 am, but I finished Life as we Knew it (Read it, it'll scare the crap out of you) I woke up this morning at about 11:30 am, and then watched According to Greta with my mom (Awesome movie starring Hilary Duff) then I did my chores, and went to the book store in Georgetown (Book Pride) Then we went to this place and had cupcakes (I cant remember the name of the place, I shall ask my mommy tomorrow) we came home, and I read a bit, and messed around online. Then we went to go see I am Number 4 (Awesome movie!!) Got home from that and put up my new books. Now I'm writing this and texting my boyfriend, and I'm sooo tired. But I think I'm going to write another entry about the books I own, and then one more for the photo shoots.
That's it for this post.
I'll try to post weekly, but I really doubt it will happen. Probably be every three months, unless I know people are reading this. So if you're reading this, comment or text or Facebook me or whatever and let me know.
Thanks guys!

Here are some links to the books/movies I mentioned up above.
The Named, http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1034516.The_Named (I've read the entire series, awesome books, definitely worth checking out. Rated 10/10)
Dream Factory, http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/556452.Dream_Factory (Awesome romance book, I have read two other books by them [Scrambled eggs at midnight, and Jars of Glass] rated 8/10)
Peaches, http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/163460.Peaches (Pretty good book, very simple, but has alot of good stuff in it. I have read the entire series. 8/10)
Chloe, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1352824/ (This movie sucked big time, the only good part was the actors. Theres a big lesbian scene so if your'e into that stuff, the check it out. The ending sucked too. Rated 3/10)
According to Greta, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1059925/ (Awesome!! Great acting, great story, has alot of good stuff in it. Rated 10/10)
I am Number 4, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1464540/ (Wowowow. This movie is AMAZING. One of my new favorites. Awesome actors, awesome story. Just plain awesome really. I would recommend reading the book before you see the movie, as the movie takes alot out. Rated 10/10)

Here's a list of books I have read in 2011

The Book of Dragons & Other Mythical Beasts, http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/100410.The_Book_of_Dragons_Other_Mythical_Beasts (It was a cute book, had some great beasts in it. Rated 6/10)

Rock Star Superstar http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/41851.Rock_Star_Superstar (Dear lord.. I had a really hard time finishing this book. It is very simply written, the main character is a d-bag he thinks he knows everything there is to know, you barely get to know any of the other characters. It just is not a very good book, [Hahaha, Zach said he loved it. To each their own] I suppose if you like simple quick reads, I would recommend this one. Rated 2/10)

Cathy's Book http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7706436-cathy-s-book (This is a very short book, the best part I think of it, was getting all of the "clues" in the front of the book, so if you are going to get this book, get the hardcover version so you can get these. Very simply written, the main character is a bit crazy, but a pretty good book anyway, I will definitely read the second. Rated 7/10)

Silver Is For Secrets http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/493123.Silver_Is_For_Secrets (I could barely put this book down. The best one in the series so far. The ending made me mad though. I can't wait to read the last book in the series. Rated 9/10 [Cuz it kind of pissed me off, heh.])

Speak http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/439288.Speak ( I had read this book a couple of years ago, and loved it. When I reread it again I realized I didn't like it as much, because it is a short, simply written book. I do still love it, just not as much. The main character is easy to get along with, and the story is great. Definitely gets you thinking. Rated 8/10)

Define "Normal" http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/222525.Define_Normal_ (Small, easy read. This book will get you questioning everything you thought you knew about being "normal" the main character is a little bit annoying, but it really is a pretty good book. Younger readers. Rated 7/10)

(The begining of this book is a little slow, mostly I think, because it had been so long since I had read the first one, that I couldn't remember everything that happened. But as soon as the action started [didn't take long!] I could barely put the book down. I cannot wait to read the third one. Rated 10/10)

Never Slow Dance with a Zombie http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6420556-never-slow-dance-with-a-zombie (Not what I thought it would be at all. Not disappointed though. It was a quick read, but very entertaining. The main character pissed me off a few times, but other than that it was a pretty good book. Rated 8/10)

The Angel of Death http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/216548.The_Angel_of_Death (I hadn't realized this was the second one when I read it, not that I think it really matters. I could not put this book down. It is awesomely written, it keeps you guessing. I have to read the first one now! Rated 10/10)

Payback Time http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7823518-payback-time (Okay, I admit. When my boyfriend told me to read this, I was very doubtful. Cmon, a book about football? No. That's not really what it's about at all. Yes football is in it, but it's also a mystery. I had it figured out pretty quick in the book, but it still surprised me at how good it was. I really liked the main character too. Simple quick read, but a good one. The ending sucked. Rated 8/10 [Cuz of the ending])

Mockingjay http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7260188-mockingjay (Here we go.. I loved this book.. I could not put it down. It's so sad though. Katniss kind of pisses me off, as she does in the other two books also. I read this one in a day. Rated 10/10)

Fendi, Ferragamo, and Fangs http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/413492.Fendi_Ferragamo_and_Fangs (This book was pretty good, the girls were easy to get along with, I just wish it had them together more often in the book, instead of three different stories in one. Rated 9/10)

Kiss Me Kill Me http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2005138.Kiss_Me_Kill_Me (This book was slow at first, I had put it down for about a month and a half, and finally picked it back up, it took a little bit but the middle got really good, then the end got even better. I couldn't put it down, I cannot wait to read the next book to find out what happens. Rated 8/10)

Prism http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5134555-prism (This book is not what I thought it would be. Simple quick read. Pretty good, but it will keep you guessing, and really make you think. Rated 7/10)

Before I Fall http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6482837-before-i-fall (Jane recommended this to me, she said it was an amazing book. I liked it, but it pissed me off at the same time. It was just the same thing over and over again. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. And it took me a while to get through it. Rated 7/10)

Witch & Wizard http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6387565-witch-wizard (This book was really good, it surprised me how good it was. It didn't have as much action as I thought, and it didn't really get into the characters too much. I'm sure it will in the next book. Wisty was my favorite, but We don't get to see too much of Whit yet. Rated 8/10)

Living Dead Girl http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2954411.Living_Dead_Girl (This is probably one of the hardest books I have ever had to get through. It is sad, and scary and so disturbing. But really good. It is small, and a quick read, but it will make you think. Rated 10/10)

That's it for now. Goodnight everyone.
